The BOARD OF RABBIS OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA is a voluntary membership organization bringing together more than 300 rabbis representing the Conservative, Orthodox, Reconstructionist, Reform and transdenominational streams of Jewish life, in positions ranging from San Diego to San Luis Obispo.



-Our members serve temples and synagogues both large (3000 families) and small (100 families)...

-They provide chaplaincy services to Jewish patients in hospitals and residents of nursing homes and convalescent centers, Jews in county, state and federal institutions, and to members of the U.S. Armed Forces...


-They educate children and adults as deans of seminaries, heads of day and supplementary schools, and educators in graduate, undergraduate and secondary institutions...

-They are directors of museums, summer camps, recovery programs, and Hillels, and serve in a variety of leadership positions in congregational, communal, public policy and human rights organizations...
